Are you new to the area and still finding your niche? We’ve got you covered. If you’re looking for a great night out on the town, here’s an overview of the best lineup Ferndale has to offer for a fun time had by all.

Soho—We love the super laid-back atmosphere of this lounge that’s located right in the heart of Ferndale’s Downtown Entertainment District. Soho welcomes everyone but caters especially to the LBGT community. Make sure to stay tuned to the lounge’s event page, which highlights its weekly line-up of trivia, dance parties, karaoke and sweet drink specials. Plus, don’t miss their daily happy hour which goes until 8pm.

Go Comedy! Improv Theater—Located just on the outskirts of Ferndale, this comedy club has everything you need for a fun night out, full of laughs. Go Comedy rotates a steady stream of amazingly talented comics, and there isn’t a bad seat in the house. Get there early for drinks and you may even get to hang out with one of the evening’s comics before they go on stage. As a bonus, we hear that parking is easy. So skip the trip to Detroit and stay put in Ferndale for your night out.

Imperial—Got a hankering for some late-night food? You’ve found your spot. We cannot get over the awesome drink specials and more importantly, the exceptional tacos this place serves up. Check their website before you go out to see what the weekly taco specials are throughout the month. Imperial touts that it’s a “joint, roadhouse, honky-tonk or tavern” and we love them that much more for saying it.

The Oakland—This is one of the coolest bars you’ll ever step into. It’s a super modern cocktail bar that just exudes class and it serves fabulous drinks. This is a great place to take a date or have an intimate conversation with someone. Its mood lighting and appealing décor will help set the mood for a great night.

Five 15’s Drag Queen Bingo—Ok, so technically this one is located in Royal Oaks but we still had to include it because you CANNOT miss this. You will laugh until you cry during this comedy show, where drags queens call out numbers in a wonderfully insulting way. No one in the audience is safe from being ridiculed, which makes it that much better. If you win, be prepared to get completely roasted on stage.  Enjoy the show on Thursday, Friday or Saturday for $20 per ticket or a Sunday brunch for $30. You won’t regret it.

When you go out at night, the best feeling is being able to return to a cozy home. We have just a few of our loft-style apartments available, so make sure to visit our leasing office, and stay up-to-date on our news via Facebook and Instagram.
